Empowering Women and Young Girls to Rise Above Domestic Violence

The Storm Sisters is a Nonprofit Corporation registered in the state of Ohio. We are not only dedicated to helping members within our sisterhood, but also women and young girls in our community. We hope to provide support, resources, and empowerment to women and young girls under the age of 25 who have been impacted by domestic violence. We believe in fostering a strong community where survivors can find healing, hope, and the tools they need to rebuild their lives.
At the Storm Sisters, we create fun, supportive, and uplifting experiences that foster self-esteem and a sense of community. Here are a few ways we give back...

Comfort Baskets

We assemble and distribute comfort baskets filled with essential personal care items, comfort items, and resource guides to women and young girls residing in domestic violence shelters and Transistional housing.

These baskets provide immediate support and a tangible reminder that they are not alone to weather this STORM.

"Pamper Me" Events: A Day of Rejuvenation

We believe every woman deserves to feel beautiful and cherished. Our "Pamper Me" events offer a day of realization and rejuvenation, featuring min-manicures, hair styling, makeup tutorials, and soothing massages. We partner with local beauty professionals to create a spa-like experience, reminding women of their inner and outer radiance.

We hope to provide a safe space where women can feel that they are being taken care of, and that they are worth it! 

"Dress for Success" Clothing Swaps: Confidence in Every Outfit

We understand the power of a confident appearance. Our clothing swaps provide access to gently used professional attire, empowering women to look and feel their best as they pursue new opportunities. it's more than just clothes; it's about building self-esteem and providing practical support for a fresh start.

We want to make sure that as women are rebuilding their lives that they have the clothes they need to feel confident.

Celebration Events: Marking Milestones with Joy

We believe in celebrating every victory, big or small. Our celebration events mark milestones like graduations, job placements, and birthdays with joy and enthusiasm. We create a festive atmosphere filled with laughter, music, and encouragement, reminding women that their achievements are worth celebrating.

We want to make sure that women and young girls know that their lives are worth celebrating, and that they are not alone.
